ALWAYS CHECK YOU ARE WORKING FROM THE LATEST ISSUE OF THE CAPTAINS LIST.

ALL CLUBS ARE REQUESTED TO LET THE LEAGUE SECRETARY KNOW IMMEDIATELY OF ANY CHANGES TO TEAM CAPTAINS. THIS ENSURES THAT THE LIST IS ALWAYS UP TO DATE.

The list of Team Captains can change daily so always refer to the latest page as listed above before contacting your opponents for any given match. The latest version number is given on the MENU TAB you click on to get here.

Due to the very real risk of bad weather at the start of each season some matches may have to be cancelled at very short notice.

It may not always possible to find the right person to notify. This can result in some teams traveling away only to find the match abandoned when they arrive.

Please talk directly to the correct person. That is the reason for having a list of Team Captains.

If you need to cancel a match at short notice, for any reason, these are the individuals to contact first.
PLEASE NOTE:

Do not contact Team Captains before 11.00am when checking if a match is to be cancelled.

Give Clubs time to evaluate their green.

Team Captains have on occasions left messages informing other Team Captains that a match is cancelled due to weather conditions.

These have been left during the morning of the match resulting in them not being picked up and teams turning up to play.

We think it unreasonable to expect members to pick up messages at short notice and urge Team Captains wishing to cancel matches to make every effort to speak to someone from the club concerned even if it is not from the same team.

They will know other members of the teams to contact and hopefully prevent unnecessary journeys.
